Character Stats

Character is a card type. Every character has a fate cost (fate), military skill (military), political skill (Political), and a glory value (glory).[1]

Characters are the only card type which can appear in the dynasty deck or the conflict deck. Characters in conflict decks can have influence (Influence) marks.

scorpion Bayushi Manipulator Courtier. 1 1 1 1 Reaction: After honor dials are revealed – increase the value of your bid by 1.
lion Steadfast Samurai Bushi. 1 1 1 1 Forced Reaction: After the fate phase begins, if you have at least 5 more honor than an opponent – this character cannot be discarded or lose fate this phase.
crane Asahina Artisan Shugenja. Air. 1 0 0 2 Action: During a conflict, bow this character. Choose another crane character – that character gets +3Political until the end of the conflict.
dragon Togashi Initiate Monk. Tattooed. 1 1 1 2 Action: While this character is attacking, spend 1 fate to an unclaimed ring – honor this character.
crab Shrewd Yasuki Courtier. 2 1 2 1 Action: While this character is participating in a conflict, if there is a holding in play – look at the top 2 cards of your conflict deck. Add 1 of those cards to your hand and place the other on the bottom of your conflict deck.
unicorn Shinjo Outrider Bushi. Cavalry. Scout. 2 2 2 2 Action: During a conflict – move this character to the conflict.
dragon Seeker of Enlightenment Monk. Tattooed. 2 1 1 0 This character get +1military and +1Political for each fate on each unclaimed ring.
crane Savvy Politician Courtier. 2 1 2 1 Reaction: After this character is honored, choose a character – honor that character.
neutral Miya Mystic Shugenja. Earth. Imperial. 2 1 1 1 Action: During the conflict phase, choose an attachment on an opponent’s character – move that attachment to another character controlled by that opponent, if able.
dragon Mirumoto Prodigy Bushi. Duelist. 2 3 2 1 While this character is attacking alone, your opponent cannot declare more than 1 defender.
scorpion Young Rumormonger Courtier. 2 2 2 1 Interrupt: When a character would be honored or dishonored, choose another character controlled by the same player – that character receives the honor or dishonor instead.
crane Daidoji Nerishma Unique Bushi. Scout. 2 3 1 1 Action: Choose a facefown card in one of your provinces – turn that card faceup.
crane Brash Samurai Bushi. 2 2 1 2 Action: When this character is your only participating member in a conflict – honor this character.

unicorn Aggressive Moto Bushi. Cavalry. 2 3 0 0 This character cannot be declared as a defender.
unicorn Border Rider Bushi. Cavalry. 2 2 1 1 Action: Ready this character.
crane Doji Gift Giver Courtier. 2 0 2 1 Action: While this character is participating in a conflict, give your opponent 1 fate. That opponent must choose a ready participating character he or she controls – bow that character.
neutral Wandering Ronin Bushi. Ronin. 3 2 2 0 Action: During a conflict, remove 1 fate from this character – it gets +2military and +2Political until the end of the conflict. (Limit twice per conflict.)
crab Borderlands Defender Bushi. 3 3 3 1 While this character is defending, opponents' card effects cannot bow it or move it.
crane Kakita Kaezin Unique Bushi. Duelist. Kenshinzen. 3 3 2 2 Action:
lion Lion's Pride Brawler Bushi. Courtier. 3 3 2 1 Action: While this character is attacking, choose a character with equal or lower military skill than this character – bow that character.
crane Doji Challenger Bushi. Duelist. 3 3 3 2 Action: While this character is attacking, choose a character controlled by your opponent – move that character to this conflict.
phoenix Isawa Masahiro Unique Shugenja. Fire. 3 3 2 2 Action: During a fire conflict, bow this character. Choose a participating character with printed cost 2 or lower – discard that character.
crane Kakita Asami Unique Courtier. 3 1 3 2 Action: While this character is participating in a Political conflict, if you count more current Political skill in the conflict than your opponent – take 1 honor from your opponent.
crane Asahina Storyteller Courtier. Shugenja. Air. 4 2 4 2 Sincerity. (When this character leaves play, draw 1 card.)
Each honored crane character you control gains sincerity.
