The Hida are a family of warriors, dedicated to the constant war against the Shadowlands and the defense of Rokugan. The nature of this conflict leads itself to a certain type of soldier; imposing, brutish, and more concerned with straightforward solutions than etiquette and protocol. This should not be taken to mean they are stupid, however, and some of the Empire's finest strategists have come from the Hida family.
