The Ikoma family are the historians and courtiers of the Lion Clan.

Founded by a hard-drinking, hard-living braggart who as infamous as he was glorified, the Ikoma family tend to be a pragmatic sort who frequently treat the rules of Bushidō more as noble suggestions than hard rules. They maintain the histories of their clan and Rokugan, and assist the Lion clan in war as tacticians and loyal soldiers.
