Rokugan, also known as the Emerald Empire, is the main setting for Legend of the Five Rings. It is an empire covering a wide variety of landscapes, people, and clans all connected by a shared devotion to the Emperor. Rokugan is bordered by the Shadowlands in the south, by the Burning Sands in the north, the Twilight Mountains in the west, and the Islands of Spice and Silk in the east.[1]
Trivia
In the original game under AEG the thousand years leading to the event of the actual game were called Thousand Years of Peace, but under FFG it seems like they talk immediatly about that the land has always been dominated by conflict.[1]
