Errata
This card received an erratum. The text should read: "While this character is participating in a conflict, characters cannot receive dishonored status tokens." instead of: "While this character is participating in a conflict, characters cannot become dishonored." [1]
Card Meta
This card comes from the Conflict deck, but it would be ill-advised to play it at a conflict that is about defending one's own province in which The Art of Peace is, or if it is played into a conflict where Shameful Display is the province card, then it would be best to have used that action on that card first before playing the Steward of Law there.
Trivia
The Illustration had been used by AEG in the previous iteration of the game on the card named Kakita Yasunori, which was also associated with the Crane Clan.
